Цели и задачи организации.
LLLI's mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother
support, encouragement, education, and information and to promote a better understanding
of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and
mother.
Кого куда берут. LLLI is
currently actively represented in 62 countries in breastfeeding promotion and support
activities that impact on the health and wellbeing of women and babies/children.
LLLI operates through women (called La Leche League Leaders), who are volunteers and who
lead monthly breastfeeding support group meetings, counsel mothers who contact them
individually, and do other activities in the community in which they live, for the
promotion and support of breastfeeding.
Сотрудничество с другими
организациями. LLLI is in formal working relations with WHO
and has consultative status within ECOSOC, in addition to memberships and networking
relationships with other organizations.
