Краткая история развития
молодежного трудоустройства. France officially
took up voluntary service as an option in response to the 1995 suspension of compulsory
military service for men. A statutory project proposing the creation of a "national
voluntary service" was adopted after a
last reading, on February 29th. The text foresees allowing young French people, from 18 to
28, to provide voluntary service in areas of civil defense and security, social cohesion
and solidarity, international cooperation, development and humanitarian aid, for a
duration of 6 to 24 months, within the framework of a public law contract. The law also
foresees the supervision of young volunteers by receiving a payment of living allowance
and social insurance coverage.
Кого и куда посылают, условия
работы. France recognized voluntary service within the framework
of international political cooperation through a January 30th 1995 decree. Young Europeans
aged 30 may become "Volunteers of International Solidarity" in developing and
Eastern European countries. Selected on basis of competence, adaptation skills and
openness, they devote 1 to 6 years full time on emergency missions or development projects
in these countries. During the period of service, they receive a monthly living allowance
and complete social insurance coverage. On their return, they may receive financial
support for a 9 month reinsertion period, paid by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Associations administrating international solidarity volunteering must be affiliated to
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
